Lethal Fantasy brings role-playing directly into combat through Luck Dice and Grit Luck Dice allow players to influence crucial rolls, but the bonus is tied to the story. What memory, instinct, relationship, fear, or belief gives your character the strength to succeed when the moment matters most? Grit lets a character push beyond the result of the dice—turning a miss into a hit, driving an attack harder, or escaping what should have been a devastating blow. But players must describe what happens. Maybe anger from an old betrayal surges to the surface. Maybe the character remembers a promise they made. Maybe desperation, courage, or pure refusal to fall changes the outcome. The mechanics do not replace role-playing. They create opportunities for it in the heart of the action. Every decision matters.
